Mac McDonald’s son is killed in an accident and for 17 years he is filled with bitterness and the pain erodes his love for his family and leaves him angry with everyone including God. The rage Mac feels has stonewalled his police career and makes for a highly combustible situation after he is partnered with the forces new rising star Sam – who also happens to be a part-time pastor.
Home life for Mac is just as frightening as the horrors he encounters on the Memphis streets that he patrols, with money tight, emotions running high and constant arguments with his wife and Blake his surviving son.
